HealthSurveys Online, as an independent research-access service, collects pre-enrollment survey information for research matching. It is not a HIPAA covered entity for this pre-enrollment screening activity, but treats health-related information with strong safeguards.

Before Enrollment

Information submitted through this site may include sensitive personal information or special category data. We protect it through encryption, access controls, retention limits, and workforce training.

After Referral or Enrollment

If information is shared with a clinical research site, sponsor, healthcare provider, or other covered entity and a participant enrolls, the receiving entity may handle that information as PHI under its own HIPAA obligations.
